The first time I donated items to our local children's hospital was when I was 7 years old. I had been asked to collect wish list items to be donated and distributed in the hospital. The hospitals, especially the children's hospitals, are always in need of items from their wish list. The children's hospitals ask for items like toys and baby items, games and books, distraction and therapeutic toys, arts and crafts, electronics, teen items, gift cards, and more!
Below is an example of a Wish List from Levine Children's Hospital. Many children's hospitals are in need of many of the same items. These items are either distributed to the children stocked in the playrooms so that the children have something to play with and take their minds off of the procedures and treatments that they are undergoing. So, whether you donated toys and games or baskets of crafts, these children and the hospitals will truly appreciate your donations!
